Session Road Turns Into Canvass for Earth Day

One of the events we covered for our new gathering is the Earth Day Celebration in Baguio City, which happens every every 22nd of April.

For a day, Session Road is car-less and the whole stretch of the city's busiest street becomes a canvass for participating artists, environmental organizations, children and even passersby who want to express their concerns regarding environmental issues through chalk-drawing. Although some people don't approved of the activity, (even my mother commented that people were just creating a mess in the road) for the participants of the event, it's their way of saying how they want the world to be. Y' know just expressing their thoughts in their own artistic ways.

For few hours, Session Road was filled with amazing artworks reflecting the "ideal" Earth from the participants' views and the words accompanying their art plead for help and immediate action to our dearest save mother Earth.

What's nice with these activity is the fact that there were lots of children participating in the chalk-drawing activity. It's just like a game for them but if you look closely at their drawings, you could see their raw ideas about saving the Earth.

i was here. hahaha tumambay ako ng hapon.
